A new(er) short film by Christine Latvala and myself will be screened at the Bearded Child Film Festival in Grand Rapids, Minnesota on Saturday, August 18th. The Saturday screening for the festival begins at 6:00pm at the Myles Reif Performing Arts Center, and ‘Footprints and a Flower’ will be screened during the first segment of Minnesota-made films. The Bearded Child Film Festival screens a variety of unique, independent films over two days, begining on Friday, August 17th at 6:00pm and concluding with the Saturday night screenings.
‘Footprints and a Flower’ is a 7 minute short narrative told primarily through a split screen, supernatural phone conversation. Here is a short synopsis:
In a matter of moments, two lover’s lives will never be the same. Matt is on his way home with a suprise gift for his significant other. However, an unforseen tragedy creates a strange phone conversation. Supernatural confusion and a rose is all he can leave behind.
